The Cardinal Shehan Center runs several basketball leagues and a softball league. For the younger players, ages 7-9, we have a Beginner Basketball league that runs on Saturday mornings called "Bitty Basketball". Going a little bit older we have three different leagues.For 3rd and 4th graders, there are both Girls and Boys leagues available. For 5th and 6th graders, there are Girls and Boys Junior Varsity leagues. For 7th and 8th graders, Girls and Boys Varsity leagues are available. The Center also runs a boys high school league during both the summer and the fall for school teams and a grammar school softball league for parochial schools.

Individual children can sign up for the Beginner Basketball league but teams are required for the other leagues. The Center has a team in the boys and girls JV and varsity basketball leagues as well as the softball league for members of our After School & Saturday Program.
