Honoree Cindi Bigelow warmly thanks all in attendance.

In conjunction with the Mid-Fairfield County Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Cardinal Shehan kicked off its first annual Red Ribbon Ball event in February 2006. Since then, the Red Ribbon Ball has continued to be a very successful and fun event each February! The 2010 Red Ribbon Ball was held in collaboration with Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo and was attended by over 225 people!

This black-tie event includes cocktails, dinner, dancing to the live music of the Silver Streaks band, and a silent and live auction. There are varying sponsorship levels ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. Tickets are $150 per guest.

The Red Ribbon Ball also honors a community leader. In 2010, we honored Cindi Bigelow, President and CEO of Bigelow Tea, for her leadership and support of the Bridgeport area non-profit community..

The 2011 Red Ribbon Ball will be held on Saturday, February 5 at The Waterview in Monroe beginning at 6:30 P.M. This year's event will honor Charles Carroll, Director of Public Facilities for the City of Bridgeport.
