The Shehan Center will be a VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) site from February 4 - April 15, 2010 and we need volunteers to help.

• High School After School Program Hours

In the NEWS!

On Thursday, May 14, more than 200 volunteers from Stop & Shop and the Cardinal Shehan Center, organizers from KaBOOM! and residents of the Bridgeport community joined forces to build a new, safe playground at the Center. 

Primarily funded by the Stop & Shop Foundation, the playspace is the third built by KaBOOM! and the supermarket chain, and one of more than 200 KaBOOM! will lead across the country in 2009.

Terry O’Connor, Executive Director of the Cardinal Shehan Center, states, “We are thrilled and thankful to be selected as a recipient for a new playground.  Our previous playground was old and worn out, having served thousands of Bridgeport’s youth”.
